Well, I do live in Korea, which is only the size of the state of Utah. It takes four or five hours to get from one coast to the other (in light traffic).

Aside from that, I had a longer-than-expected vacation provided by my employer, and since it might be several more months before I can travel to the US, I decided to hit a lot of spots. I don't do work that's particularly special or exciting; it was just that there was ample time and money (with an eye for deals) that enabled me to get a move on.
