Back to the Brugs

The Brugmansia that I bought some time ago is flowering once again. It's on the metal planter shelf outside of the veranda. I thought it needed more light because of increasing leaf-drop. I just finished pollinating the new blooms, so we'll soon see if my busybee skills are adequate.





Meanwhile, a couple of pots over, the Datura that I bought soon after the Brug was pollinated successfully. Its pods have been quite a sight: double-dark purple with scores of little knobs instead of spikes. Only recently has the purple color given way to green as the pods expand and stretch. Another one for the archives, no doubt.
